Hot Holiday Cider
- Fresh apple cider (unpasteurized, if you can get it)
- Stick cinnamon (NOT powdered)
- Whole cloves (NOT powdered)
Instructions:
Pour cider into slow cooker or stockpot. Add spices. Heat slowly.
Ladle out.
VARIATIONS: Add slices of lemon and/or orange when cider is beginning to warm. Use star anise or cardamom or allspice instead of (or in addition to) the cinnamon and cloves. Have some golden rum around for people who like a little more "kick."
