Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake
CAKE:
- 1/4 pound butter or margarine, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
TOPPING:(divided)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add all other batter ingredients in order
listed. Stir 'til well blended. Grease angel food or bundt pan
generously. Empty half of the batter into pan.
Sprinkle HALF of topping sugar and cinnamon (mixed) on top of batter.
Add HALF of the chocolate chips. Add rest of batter. Top with
balance of mixed sugar and cinnamon and rest of chocolate chips.
Bake at 350 degrees approximately 45 minutes.
