Crescent Cookies
- 1/2 pound butter ( no substitute)
- 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
Cream butter with mixer. Add sugar and beat sugar until well blended. Add vanilla, nuts, and flour. Place in refrigerator for an hour. Shape small pieces of dough into crescents on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350* about 20 min. or until light golden brown on the bottom. As soon as crescents are removed from the oven, roll them in powdered sugar, which forms a coating and looks like confectioners frosting. You can also tint the batter with a few drops of color.
