Tea Cake Cookies
Tea Cake Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (has to be high fat-not spreads)
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
Instructions:
Cream the butter, shortening and sugar util very fluffy
and throughly creamed. Add vanilla and salt. Add one
egg and beat well. Add the other egg and beat well.
Stir in flour. Mix well
Drop my teaspoonsfull on greased cookie sheet. Flatten
each cookie and bake at 375 until edges of cookies are
delicately brown (usually about 8-10 min) Remove from
cookie sheet immediately.
Makes about 6 doz. according
how small or large the cookies.
