Venetian Christmas Cookies
Venetian Christmas Cookies
- 1 (12 oz) box of vanilla wafers, crushed
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup candied cherries, chopped, red and green preferred
- About a cup of powdered sugar
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients but the powdered sugar, mixing completely.
Roll the dough into a log, about 2 inches thick. You may need to
powder your hands with the powdered sugar to keep the dough from
sticking too much. Once the log is formed, roll it in powdered sugar
until it is completely covered. Wrap in plastic wrap or foil and
refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, slice into cookies. We
usually wind up with about 12-15 cookies, but how many you get depends
on how thick you slice them. They taste great no matter what size you
make them.
