Boogie Woogies
Boogie Woogies
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 square (1 ounce) semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/3 cup strong coffee
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&M mini baking pieces
- 2 cups rolled oats
Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In medium bowl combine flour, cocoa,
baking soda, and salt, set aside.
2. Melt the 1-ounce square of chocolate in the coffee (in the
microwave on High this should take less than 1 minute). In large
mixing bowl, beat together butter, sugars, vanilla, and
coffee/chocolate mixture. Beat until creamy. Add eggs one at a time,
beating well after each addition. With mixer set on low speed, add
dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in nuts, chocolate chips, M&Ms,
and oats. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto cookie sheet.
3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet 2 to 3 minutes,
then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
