Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet if milk chocolate is unavailable)
Instructions:
Cream first 4 ingredients in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add
eggs; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add
to creamed mixture. Beat well. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by
teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375F for 8 to 10
minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie
sheet; cool completely on wire rack.
