Chocolate Caramel Bars
Chocolate Caramel Bars
Base:
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
Cream butter and sugar.Add flour.Press into 9x13 greased pan.Bake at 375 F for 20-25 minutes.
Filling: In a pot, mix
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 4 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. BEAT for 1 minute then pour over base. When cool, pour 4 oz unsweetened melted chocolate on top. Cut into squares and enjoy.
Note: as they are very rich, you should cut them into fairly small squares.
