Christmas Cookies
Christmas Cookies
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup margarine or shortening
- 2 cups flour
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup each (approx.) of candied red and green
cherries, sliced in half
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients except the cherries. Roll into small balls,
then press tops down with a fork. Place half a candied cherry on top.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Store in a plastic container.
Yield is
about 48 cookies per batch.
