Christmas Cookies 2
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup cut-up red and green gumdrops
Instructions:
Cream sugars, shortening, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and
mix well. Stir in nuts and gumdrops. Drop by teaspoonfuls on
ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
Note: Use a pair of kitchen scissors, with blades dipped in flour, to
cut up gumdrops.
