Toffee Butter Cookie


Cream until fluffy -

1 cup butter

1 cup brown sugar

Beat in -

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

add -

2 cups flour
and mix well

Spread on jelly roll pan (we use a regular cookie sheet). Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. After removing from oven place 8 milk chocolate bars (we usually buy a boxes of Hershey plain that come 6 to a box) on top of hot cookie mixture. Let set to melt, then spread chocolate evenly and sprinkle with 1/2 cup walnuts. Cut into squares.
