Apple Roll



Instructions:
Boil sugar, honey, and water together to make thin syrup. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon sugar together. Cut in shortening and add milk to make a fairly soft dough. Roll on floured board in rectangular shape, about 1/4-inch thick. Spread apples on dough and roll like a jelly roll. Cut into 1-inch lengths and place cut-side up in a greased pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cover with hot syrup. Bake at 425F for 25 minutes.
