Stuffed Green Peppers
- 3 large green (bell) peppers
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 can (8 0z) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup dry bread or cracker crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 Tablespoon chopped onion
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Clean and wash peppers. Cook peppers in boiling water 5 minutes turning once. Drain. Mix the rest of the ingredients together. Stuff peppers lightly with the mixture. Stand upright in a small baking dish. Bake 45 minutes covered - uncover and bake 15 minutes more..
