Stuffed Green Peppers
- 3 large green peppers
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 - 8 ounce can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Clean and wash peppers. Cook peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain. Mix remaining ingredients together and stuff the peppers lightly with the mixture. Stand upright in a small baking dish. Bake 45 minutes covered, uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
