Authentic Key Lime Pie





Instructions:
Combine condensed milk, egg yolks and lime juice together until well blended. Pour into pie crust: top with meringue.

MERINGUE: Beat egg whites gradually adding sugar, cream of tartar and vanilla. When thick and stands in peaks, spread over pie. Bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes until meringue is golden brown. Chill pie before serving.

FYI ~ The meringue is not necessary if you don't want it, but it does make the pie if you have the time to prepare it!
