Fruity Milk Shake
Combine in a blender:
1 1/4 cups skim milk
2 cut-up frozen bananas
1 cup chopped fresh or frozen strawberries, peaches or blueberries
1/2 cup low-fat (or fat-free) yogurt (plain)
1tbsp honey

Cover and blend until smooth, adding 5 ice cubes on at a time. 4 servings

Mint Tea Granita
2 quarts boiling water
4 family size tea bags
1 ½ cups sugar
12 mint sprigs
1/4 cup lemon juice

Pour boiling water over tea bags; cover and let steep 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, squeezing gently. Stir in sugar, mint sprigs, and lemon juice; cover and steep 25 minutes. Strain and let cool to room temperature. Chill thoroughly.
Pour tea mixture into three freezer trays or two 9-inch square pans, and freeze until almost firm, stirring several times during freezing process.
Remove mixture from freezer 10 minutes before serving. Scrape with a fork to loosen ice crystals; spoon into serving containers.

Cranberry-Apple Tea
1 cup boiling water
3 regular-sized tea bags
1 (32 oz) bottle cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
2 cups apple juice, chilled
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 ½ tbsp light corn syrup
1 lemon, sliced

Pour boiling water over tea bags' cover. Let stand 5 minutes. Discard tea bags; cool tea. Combine tea and next 4 ingredients in a large pitcher; stir well. Add lemon slices, and serve over ice. Yield: 1 3/4 quarts

Minted Apple Cooler
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
1 cup sugar
1 ½ cups water
1 cup orange juice
½ cup lemon juice
4 cups apple juice
Fresh mint sprigs (optional)

Combine chopped fresh mint, sugar, and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes; cool. Strain syrup mixture into a large pitcher; discard mint. Add remaining juices, and stir well. Serve over ice. Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired. Yield: 7 1/4 cups.

Sparkling Strawberry Mimosa
2 ½ cups orange juice, chilled
1 (10 oz) pkg frozen strawberries, partially thawed
1 (26.4 oz) bottle dry champagne, chilled
Whole strawberries

Combine orange juice and partially thawed strawberries in container of an electric blender. Process until pureed. Pour into a pitcher. Add champagne; stir gently. Garnish each serving with a whole strawberry if desired. Sere immediately. Yield: about 8 cups

Southern Sangria
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup orange juice
1 (25.4 oz) bottle sparkling red grape juice, chilled

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large pitcher, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add grape juice, and gently stir to mix well. Serve over crushed ice. Yield: 5 cups.
