Our Newsletter is called the USS Kaskaskia Blast, and is mailed to dues-paying members at least 3 times a year. The Blast announces future reunions, information about past reunions, and shipmates often send in interesting sea stories regarding their experiences aboard the KAS, and you are invited to do so as well. Please send your news items to the Editor, Dan Asher, 1482 Autumn Ridge Circle, Reston, VA 20194. Pictures are also welcome, and we will gladly return to you, after we make copies for the USS Kaskaskia Photo Album, A BLAST FROM THE PAST.
When you join our Association, we will send you a roster which includes the shipmates who were on the USS Kaskaskia from 1940 to 1969, and the latest Blast. If you know of any other shipmate not on the roster, please send me his name, last known address, and telephone number. Enclosed also is an information form that is helpful in updating our records, please return this form to me, even if you are not able to attend the reunion. Shipmates often ask what happened to this or that shipmate, and with our updated roster, we are able to give them information about friends they have not seen for many years.
