SLEEP, BABY SLEEP

Your head on your pillow, in dreamland you walk,
Where children stay youger and animal's talk.
Where Mummy's an Angel, and star's fill the sky,
Mice dress in waistcoat's and elephant's fly.
A sweet sounding song sing's it's way through your mind,
Leaving your monster's and demon's behind.
Tonight you will fly to a mystical land,
As a man-child in green take's a hold of your hand.
Your heart fill's with joy as you fly through the air,
Your arm's holding tight to a big teddy bear.
A world full of giggle's, a fun time for all,
Where eyes fill with wonder and people grow small.
A circle of fairies do dance in the night,
Your head fill's with wishe's, and heart with delight.
All tear's are lost and an innocence found,
The laughter of children is heard all around.
Nursery rhymes are the only song heard,
Whisper's of magic, the unspoken word.
Colour's spill out as new rainbow's appear,
River's that sparkle with water's so clear,
Candy made castle's reach for the sky,
Wrapped in the sound from a lost lullaby,
Rest well in your dream and take care little one,
A lifetime that's over before it's begun.
I watch you in slumber, each breath that you take,
So sleep, baby sleep, we will meet when you wake.
