David Oswald always wanted to teach. He attended Northwestern University and achieved a double degree in both history and philosophy. He was soon teaching undergrads, but something was missing. He was an excellent teacher. His students loved him, but teaching to a classroom was all he could do really well. He was never able to apply himself to getting "published." He soon began bouncing from one institution to the next. He would stay for a few years, fail to gain tenure and move on. One night while working at Belmont University in Nashville, he was met after class by a mysterious figure who claimed to be impressed with his intellect.    Kim Vircero, Nashville's Brujah Primogen, offered to change the direction of his life. She promised to put him in a new classroom where his knowledge would be of good use. Frustrated with his career, Dr. Oswald accepted her offer and joined the Brujah. He set a goal to educate his fellow Brujah. Upon Vircero's death at the hands of an Assamite assassin in 1990, Oswald became clan Primogen. To this day, he still struggles to maintain unity within his clan, especially from those who are actually older than him.
