Emma Thornton

Emma Thornton was born in Virginia. She was an artist, a painter, of some renown. Soon after the Revolution, she was visited by a man who appeared to be interested in her art. He was a wealthy immigrant who had recently arrived from eastern Europe. His name was Roman Gaetan, and he claimed to want to buy some of her pieces. Emma was invited to stay with him at his estate near Roanoke. She accepted, but never returned. There she was embraced by Gaetan into clan Toreador. Since that time, Emma has lived up and down the east coast, preferring the southern states. She was invited to stay in Nashville in 1996 when Roman was named Prince of the Music City. She was quickly established as Primogen and has sat in that position since.
