Yoko Soumi

This woman with the wonderful voice is Natasha Radinovs japanese Seiyuu. Since I love that voice so much I gathered all information on Yoko Soumi-sama as I could find... which is, unfortunately, not very much yet. I didnt even find a photo yet. *sigh*

First thing: Yoko Soumi didnt only work as voice actress in gunsmith cats. She acted in some more animes, she was Queen Diiva in El Hazard and Atsuko in Yuu Yuu Hakushou and some more which I dont know so I wont list them here.

Second: She did not only voice act in anime, but in films/series too. The best thing is: she is the voice of Tasha Yar in the Star Trek next generation series in Japan!!! Ain't that great? Tasha Yar is a really cool character, I like that thought!

Marcy Rae

Wow! I didnt think they could find an other good voice for Ladinov. But they did! For the english dub they found a true jewel: Marcy Rae! She sounds amazing, I am really impressed by the harsh sound of hers.

She is like a "diamond in the rough" (sorry about the german saying here, but it fits best). I dont know how a russian sounds who speaks english with accent, but her accent there sounded somewhat strange to me. 

Anyways: I have a lot more information about her than I have about Soumi, but I wont tell everything on here. The reason? As a person, Marcy Rae seems to be the opposite of Ladinov. She is playing in a band, but unfortunately its not my favourite style of music.

There even exists a photo. No, I will not place it on here, no chance! She doesnt look like I would expect a Ladinov voice actor to appear. Once a friend told me: "Don't look at her pic. You will regret it!" I did look, of course, anyway. And now let me tell you this: I DO REGRET IT! It destroyed my illusions. 

I am like that, when I heard about Marcy Rae playing in a band and such I was  - of course - amazed! My crazy phantasy got the best of me and I was imagining a cool, young, good looking (in other words: looking like Ladinov) band leader. Maybe with black short hair and wearing cool leather outfits.. yeah, I know. I'm nuts. 

Marcy Rae doesn't wear leather. She doesn't play punk rock (one of my favourite music styles), she isn't in her mid-twenty's. She just has an incredible voice that fits to Natasha Radinov. Of course that doesn't mean she looks/acts like her too. 

Yeah, Marcy Rae is friendly, actually. I e-mailed her and even got an autograph! (We all know that a person like Radinov would have kicked my ass! lol) She appears to be a very kind person, and I decided to like her.

Now coming to her other roles in anime. She is Shiru in Ellcia, Houme in Nadesico, Mae in Plastic Little, Ryoko Takeuchi in Blue Seed and Fräulein D in Galaxy Fräulein Yuna.

Well, I think thats all of the -necessary- information on Marcy Rae. I advice everyone: Don't be a dreamer like me. Just listen to her voice and enjoy.
