In physics, students learn about physical characteristics and phenomena that occur in the universe such as motion, heat, light, sound, electricity and magnetism. In the state of Texas, three sciences are required to graduate in the State Board of Education's Recommended High School Graduation Plan. The choices are as follows: Biology I and II, Chemistry I and II, Physics I and II, and Integrated Physics and Chemistry. For P.A.P. Physics, a concurrent enrollment in Pre-Calculus or instructor approval is needed. Physics is an exciting course which describes many of our daily questions in life, however it is strongly based in mathematics. |
