The desperation closes in,
The light begins to fade,
The walls are crushing in on me,
The loneliness refuses to go away.
Like Alice in wonderland,
I’m falling down a great hole,
The world passing by my eyes,
The bottom never seems to come.
Dreams dashed,
Promises broken,
Security stolen,
A future taken away.
The world caving in one me,
Asking me to let it go,
A part of me is gone,
How do I move on?
The magic of this life,
Was so harshly ripped away,
The illusions are gone,
Will this pain ever be done?
Love lost,
Hope gone astray,
Minutes turn to hours,
My will fades away.
Will I forever walk alone,
In this world set apart?
This isolation is eating at me,
It’s tearing at my heart.
The waves of uncertainty crash in,
The rush of solitude pounding at my door,
The darkness of despair clouds my eyes,
When will the desolation fade away?
