COMMUNICATION ARTS
Communication is a central part of every aspect of life. In the Communication Arts department the opportunity to learn and develop skills in all areas of communications is granted to students who desire to obtain the following:
General cultural background in the various aspects of communication.
A basis for pursuit of graduate work in any of the communication arts.
Foundational preparation for a career in mass media.
Certification for teaching speech/drama in the secondary schools.
Ancillary preparation for communication-related sales management and various areas of human resources development.

Faculty Recognition: Six faculty members from the Communication Arts Department have been chosen as School of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Faculty of the Year. Additional faculty members have served in Christians in the Theatre National Networking Conference as regional representatives and chairperson of the Board of Directors.
My ambition is to become a music and film producer. Several graduates from ORU have landed careers
within companies such as NBC, ABC, and CNN. With majoring in Multimedia and minoring in Music Technology, I will achieve my dreams and goals.
