02/04/04 - NEWS!!!
There is some news about the upcoming A-Team moive!

Stephen J. Cannell has confirmed that plans are still moving forward on the A-Team movie. However, he does plan to made some changes in order to modernize the story. The A-Team will no longer be a group of Vietnam Vets. The team will now be Veterans of Desert Storm. The plan is to also make the movie version much more serious and give it a modern action style...so people will actually be killed in the movie. (That only happed a few times throughout the entire season. The A-Team was well known for a lot of shooting and explosions, but no deaths.) That is a big changes from the series to the movie. What kind of reaction this will have from loyal A-Team fans remains to be seen.

An A-Team Movie!!

For the last couple of years there have been discussions about an A-Team Movie!
The big question is, is this true? The answer is Yes, there are plans to make an A-Team movie.

Stephen J Canell, the  guy who worked on the original series, is working on making this a reality. Fox Pictures has purchased the rights to the film, and things are underway. It will, however, be at least 2003 before the movie might be released.

Who will be cast in the movie has been the subject of debate on various web discussion groups and News Groups for a while now. Most people seem to have their opinion on whom should be cast, but no official casting decisions have made announced at this time. We do know that none of the original actors will be reprising their parts (unfortunately), although there has been talk of cameo appearances.

The plan for the film is to modernize it for current times. What exactly that entails remains to be seen, but hopefully theykeep enough of the original format, style and characters to make it all worthwhile. At any rate,  it should be a fun movie.

Hopefully the new movie will help raise awareness of, and nostalgia for the original series!
