September 28, 2004 (9:54 PM) Sick of my job. I think I should quit and become a full-time poker player. I'd work less and make more. Today? $7 in one hour, and that's more than I'm making for my Job of Death. I hate the Redskins. Watching them is like being led on by a girl. You can't win. Somebody have a party after Homecoming. It's necessary; it's so necessary. Argh. Decided I'm no longer interested in pursuing anybody. I'll stick to cards and masturbation, thank you very much. September 19, 2004 (10:00 AM) Uh oh. It's time for Week 2. I have nothing to say about this weekend except that I hate The River (of Death), and it has cost me $8 on one hand.
Chiefs over Panthers September 16, 2004 (6:48 PM) Pretty damn boring. Played cards for 5 minutes, went to Kong. It sounds like a shortened summary of my life. Shit that goes down tomorrow:
--Science fair shit. Nobody has done the experiment for about three years. With about
forty honors science kids, thats 120 projects not done. Why do they bother? That being said, I expect 7 TD's from Mike tomorrow night in a 49-3 rout. Then again, I have no real idea of what is going to happen. Only interesting thing today was some amazingly tall kid hitting his head attempting to dunk and having to be carried away via ambulance this morning at school. I'd love to know how they got him on that stretcher. September 12, 2004 (12:11 PM) It's effing NFL time. The 'Skins kick off in about an hour and I'm freaking out. This has been an unbelievable offseason (if that's even possible with the Redskins) and I'm ready to see what the hell is going to happen. On a side note? The weekend wasn't too exciting, and Mr. Aldinger did a nice job of leading EP to a 25-19 victory over Susquehanna. And now for your free NFL picks!
Rams over Cardinals August 18, 2004 (12:40 AM) OK, I'm serious. I really need to start doing this summer work. Less than two weeks to go and I think I've written some journal entries or something. Being a slacker comes with its stresses. I really think I'm too tired to do anything but play some PartyPoker. This is getting obsessive...not again. I think I just need to sleep. August 10, 2004 (11:03 PM) Skins 20, Broncos 17...but Jansen's out for the year. That...really blows. At least Taylor looked good...we'll have to hope Bugel can work some Hog magic. Just when life appears perfect, something has to spill. I wish I could forget yesterday afternoon at someone's house, because it's done no good. It would be nice to find someone genuine. Nirvana -- Lithium Tested out the new Madden 2005 today...the gameplay didn't blow me away, but I suppose that is because I own NCAA 2005. Guida brought it down after work. After picking off two passes intended for TO with Sean Taylor, I decided to fool around a bit...and found myself down 27-21 with 19 seconds to play (compliments of a Guida missed extra point). Well, no worries. Some quick clockwork and I'm up 28-27 with five seconds to play. Hail Skins. I really need to finish this summer work...and I need to play poker tomorrow...I think that's already planned. Life is good, bitches. August 9, 2004 (12:57 AM) NIGHTLY POKER EARNINGS: $13.75 I swear...this is far more profitable than a job. ll bAbiix3 ll: ja upi gpt fpr, pme so;eu tp tje mext And yes, she was seriously trying to make a statement. Not that we'll ever know what the hell it was. The 'Skins play tomorrow night...we should see about three plays from Gibbs offensively. Blah. The preseason blows, and it still manages to draw more interest than regular season baseball, basketball, and hockey. Hail Skins. I woke up at 10 today and worked until 1. Played poker twice...that's about it. Life goes on. August 7, 2004 (12:38 AM) NIGHTLY POKER EARNINGS: $12 I think I should just quit my job. I figure I make about $20 a day with tax reduction, but I could just play a game every day, set my own schedule, and make about as much. Then again, this is how people go broke and live on the streets. I've decided that everyone needs to convert to Mozilla. There are too many complaints about pop-ups. Stop using shitty IE and do yourself a favor. So the ol' boy Rick James died today. Blah blah, insert your hilarious "I'm Rick James, bitch" joke right about here. One thing I will say though is that I find it difficult to believe he died of natural causes at age 59. Damn crackhead. This whole staying up until 6 AM thing has given me land lag. It's like jet lag, except it doesn't actually exist. August 6, 2004 (5:39 AM) NIGHTLY POKER EARNINGS: $15 I swear, this isn't normal. I'm not normally up at 5:30. But I've been up for about 20 hours and I'm not one bit tired...I'm still on a poker charge. Myself, Corey, and Terry decided to head to Allyson Gard's house, who was hosting a sleepover for about five to eight girls. I'm really not sure. By a stroke of genius, we hooked them on Texas Hold 'Em, and I stole away with my fifteen bucks. I turned a $1 bet into $15. More than that, considering I bought some people in to whom I owed money. I always find the simple things funny. We walked back to Terry's, and he spotted a rabbit in front of my old townhouse. So instead of chasing it, Terry took off his shoe and threw it at the bunny. Dead on. He nailed it in the head and it ran away disorientedly. I know, you had to be there. So I just got done walking home about ten minutes ago. And I'm not the least bit tired, thanks to the chill in the air. By the way. Gonzo's second 50 Cent comic is hilarious. I want you to look at it, now. August 5, 2004 (1:41 AM) Out of a lack of anything else to put on here, let's try the "blog" thing. Though you all know I hate the conventional online journal, I plan to do it a little differently and (hopefully) inspire a few to change their boring blogging habits. Why write about the seventeen thousand boring, inconsequential things you did during the day? At least make it somewhat worth reading. That being said, my day was fairly uneventful. Woke up too late to do anything before work, and then I came home and decided to stay in and talk por telefono for the rest of the night. Laura's great. In every way; and that's the summary of the day. (That took four short sentences. Remember that.) Gonzo's site is a must see. I thought it was just going to be raps, but the "Sweet Home Susquehanna" coupled with the new Andy Reid playbook and 50 Cent comic has made it worth seeing. Kudos. So I'm craving to play some more poker (re: stealing money from fools) tomorrow. Before 4 or after 8...IM or call me, if you're one of the locals that has my cell number. I'll save the Kong run for the weekend. I don't even want any Kong right now. I know, what the fuck, right? This brings us to the end. The image at the top will take you back home. |
