Sunset in Nadi
Outside Nadi town is the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, founded by Raymond Burr in 1977 to house his personal orchid collection.
We spent a week at the Octopus Resort on Waya Island, which is part of the Yasawa Island group.
Most of the staff were from the neighboring village, just over the hill from the resort. Visits were often welcomed, and it was an interesting glimpse into the more traditional Fijian way of life.
