Baulders Gate: Dark Alliance was designed by Snowblind Studios and published in North America by Interplay in 2002.

Graphics: The graphics are pretty nice and they pretty much fit the style of game that it is, but the view can sometimes get annoying, you can usually move the view around to wherever you want. But the times that you can't move it, it gets very annoying. Basically no other flaws in the graphics department. 18/20

Sound: 1. Music: 10/10 This is the nicest music in a game that I have heard since Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. LTTP is the only game that has better music then Dark Alliance, in my opinion. It basically sounds like flutes sort of, elven music (if you understand that).
2. SFX: 9/10 The sound effects are pretty good. It is very nice have the characters speak out the dialog with their lips matching the words instead of having to read or have characters talk but there mouth just opens up and doesn’t match the words. The sounds while fighting are pretty good also. When you use your special moves it sounds very nice and each enemy has different sounds and such.
Overall: 19/20

Story: You have been mugged on the streets of Baulders Gate and you are looking for the group who did this (thieves guild). It turns out the thieves guild is not just one little group, it turns into a huge underground evil empire and you are setting out to destroy it. There are multiple styles of areas you must explore like the snow covered mountain tops, the dried out mountain sides, the underground basement, the underground house of the dead, the deep-wood elven area, and the mossy swamp. Exploring all these areas while still staying on the story is very fun. 18/20

Gameplay: This game is pretty much a hack n' slash style game but there are other features that make the game play great. First off, there are incredible special moves. You choose from an elven sorceress, a dwarven fighter, or a human archer. Each three have there own incredible styles and moves. For example, the archer can fire multiple arrows at once which charge into lightning blasts. The fighting is incredible. 18/20

Replay Value: The replay value of this game basically makes this game what it is. You can choose from three different characters all with COMPLETELY unique STYLES and MOVES. There are also three different difficulty levels and another style of play called the Gauntlet. If you can beat the Gauntlet then you unlock another character called Drizit, which brings the total to four overall characters. The replay value of this game is unbelievable. If I had to spend a month with just one game I would definitely pick this game. 20/20

This game is out for every platform but I reviewed the Xbox version. If you own any Next-Gen platform I suggest you go out and cop yo'self this game foo’!

FINAL SCORE: 93/100
