I’m going to attempt to do the impossible. An unbiased D2 review. well here it goes.

Story: as with seemingly all blizzard games, there seems to be no story, however in reality there is quite a good one. Diablo: the lord of terror has been unleashed upon the world and you must stop him from uniting with his sealed away brothers Mephisto and Baal. As you progress Diablo releases baal, who was sealed in the body of one of the most powerful mages of all time! Mephisto somehow gets out and sends Diablo back to hell to raise an army. A derp a derp a derp you kill mephisto, go through the portal to hell, kill Diablo, then in the expansion you kill baal. 18/20

Graphics: as with starcraft the graphics are not very good, that is if you compare them to games that came out 4 or 5 years after them… not too bad though 16/20

Sound: the sounds… not too great but if your actually playing the game the way its meant to be played (not being rushed through it and playing it with the story) and you turn the lights out at night, some of the dungeons can get scary with some eerie music and zombies moaning. The point is it really adds to the game at parts. 17/20

Gameplay: some people really criticize the hack and slash game play in it. And the truth is that’s about all there is; you get good items, build a good character and go kill things. Somehow that’s an insanely addictive combination though. A big thing about this game though is the huge amount of items you can get with hundreds of different items ranging from padded armor to the almighty Windforce hydra bow! 19/20

Fun: this game is addictive, incredibly addictive. You could easily lose a few months of your life to this game, and I think that is a good testament to how fun it is. No argument about this score; 20/20

FINAL SCORE: 90/100
