Rules
1. Tackle football.
2. Forward progress for downs after 3 seconds of no motion
3. 3 completions or 20 yards for 1st down
4. Penalties are penalized as half the NFL yardage (i.e. holding=5 yard penalty)
5. Two 20-minute halves
6. Running clock even on incomplete pass
7. Touchdowns 1 point
8. 6 second blitz count
9. QB may not sneak unless blitzed
10. No kickoffs; possession begins from approximately the 5 yard line
11. Center not required
12. 10-15 second huddle time
Location BFL games will be held at Shaeffer’s Field, Enola First Church of God (C-myers backyard) or Adams-Ricci. If for some reason we can’t play at any of those locations, any decent sized field will do.
Substitutions Not everyone is going to be able to show up every weekend. In event of this, the BFL has arranged for backup players to play. The game may be on the line, but hey, The Replacements wasn’t that bad of a movie.
