Here is the front and back of our house. We will definitely be doing some landscaping work, but we want to finish the interior first. |

Besides being built in the 70's, and just being kind of ugly, we sort of like our new house. The picture above was created using the panorama feature on some software I just installed (no, Toby is not triplets). Notice the orange chair, a recent acquisition--we bought it at DI in Salt Lake City, and drove home with it strapped on top of the minivan. Below is a kind of warped view of the living room and kitchen (no the cabinets are not really crooked). |

We have already started painting. Aspen's room is green, and our room is going to be yellowish tan with a sort of parchment paper look, because we used two colors of paint at the same time. |

The finish nailer I just bought has really been a fun toy, and has made putting in the molding quite a bit easier. Below is a picture of phase two, with the crown molding up. It just needs one more coat of paint, to cover the putty in the nail holes. |

Here is a close up of the crown. The molding consists of regular dentil molding on top of some inverted base molding. For some reason, this picture makes it look flatter than it really is. |
