The Irish Final was held on March 6th at the Helix Centre in Dublin, hosted by Ray D'arcy, with the result being announced on March 7th. The last 3 singers in the "You're a Star" contest each sang a potential ESC song on February 29th, with the public eliminating one song (by televoting) before the final.
