Tears stream down her face,
And she was screaming "Grace"
In the middle of the street.

The bullets whizzed
And flew right through-
And she was screaming "Grace."

Guns replaced arrows,
And gangs replaced race-
In the middle of the street.

Alcohol bred in violence,
And violence bred abuse,
Tears streamed down her face.

Her wants became her needs,
Alcohol made her free-
And she was screaming "Grace."

Her baby's in her arms,
Sixteen and growing colder,
Tears stream down her face.

Her baby had a boyfriend,
Her baby had a lover,
And both had a gun-
In the middle of the street.

Violence bred abuse
Abuse bred resentment-
Tears stream down her face.

Baby's finally free now-
Baby's found her place-
In the middle of the street.

And she was screaming "Grace"

She was screaming "Grace"

"Grace......"
