| I've Been Busy by © chibilunacat I've searched the earth eternal Looking for that slice of life The one from that big ol' home baked pie The kid with the sweet gooey cherries inside. I've sifted through the sands of time Looking for that silver piece That silver gem sparkling among grains, That great piece of advice. I've been scuba diving in that vast ocean With waves of opportunity Waiting by the silent telephone Wondering if opportunity would phone instead of knock. I've been adding up the numbers Of all the times I've had Wondering if I've been miscalculating Some crucial moment that passed. I've read a thousand passages In books to interpret dreams Searching ever for answers to questions Of experiences not my own. I've been wondering exactly why I've been wasting all this time Searching and looking the hard way through What I know I'll never find.
