| Just a Little Longer by © chibilunacat If we wait until tomorrow- Are you sure the sun will shine? Will the clouds come to cover, And rain on this heart of mine? If it's just another day now, And things will be all right, Will it be a thing of passing- Like a hurricane through the night? Just a little longer please- Can you ask this thing of me? If you promise to make me happy, And promise to help me see? You say until tomorrow dear, And tomorrow never came. I waited on the porch steps- Feeling rather lame. Just another day now, I cheered and clasped my hands, But again it never came- The hour glass still sifts its sands. It's been a little longer still- And I have always waited, Bags were packed and everything- And now my souls deflated. You still insist you're coming soon, And I find I can hardly wait, Because giving up just so easily- Is just not within my fate.
