Oh what soul of man is there
That you cannot save
That only wants the word redemption
Writ upon his grave?

May angels carry his soul away
In truth, in love, in trust,
While his worldly body fades
Into a mound of dust.

Through his sins he lived a life
Of hate and pain and fear,
And now he cries for anyone
To only simply hear.

Millions all have heard a tale,
But only one has heard his heart-
But every man deserves to know
Of every piece and part.

Cry for loss, but yours alone-
And there's an angel of mercy,
While you wept and closed your eyes
You simply failed to see.

Where he goes no one finds,
But his body laid to rest,
And carry on within one mind
In heart felt tears and jest.

So carry on within the after,
For now you're only free,
But remember the lessons of give and take,
Learn from you, and me.

One word you wanted on your stone
"I'm sorry" is what you said,
Now all can read your last right,
In the place that your body lie dead.
