| Playground by © chibilunacat She twirls eternity on her fingertip- As he builds castles in the sands of time, Together they are cheerfully singing Their favorite nursery rhyme. Children that know not what they're holding, The importance of it all- Down comes the castle and he starts again, As she begins to bounce her ball. She discards eternity for a skip rope of trust, He tires of time and finds a barrel of hope, He links them in a lengthened chain, And she begins to twirl her rope. Off to the side- Snickering away, The two laughing bullies Toss arguments their way. The jump rope is stopped- And he abandons his chain, To go tell the teacher- Right out plain. The bullies are punished with no more recess, He reconstructs hope and then finds a train of joy- The jump rope is returned, traded for hula hoop of love, They begin their song again, fate in hand of girl and boy.
