My Thoughts on Snow

A blanket of white that covers the ground. It looks so
soft, like a layer of down. But the layer of white
fools us it is cold to the touch. A quilt for Mother
Earth for her to sleep. A well deserved rest, a time
to renew for the coming of Spring.
The snow can be fluffy, all those tiny flakes. Only
when we look closer do we see that no two snowflakes
are the same. Just as no two people are ever the
same. When the snow is strong, holding together it can
support the weight of a man. It's strength comes as a
surprise for something so tiny.
Just imagine how strong we could be like the snow if
we forgot our differences and worked together holding
each other up.
Maybe I need a lesson from the Snowflake.

Respectfully,
Doreen
