| One More Thing by © poso_woods well i got me buck fevor, so i wish my man would come home. geeeez. oh, yah, a story......hmmmmmmmm let me think here a moment ok, my freind, she is on paroll.... facing 13 years for rubber checks. this is true..... talk about bad.... so she sat some and is out and on pp. anyhow, she got a job. she asked her pp officer if she could take a higher paying one and got the ok. so,she took the other job and one day she took a sick day from work, on the count of the fact that her son was ill. and she got arrested for not being at work, and lost her job cause she was in jail. than got 30 days for not being employed... ok you following off rez life here....... meanwhile her old man who cant work, gets evicted, cause of no rent money. him and the kids.... 10 days and he has to be out. he has no money....... so anyway. his wife still in jail, cant get out if she has no house to go to. she has to get out to get a job to get a house...... ok, so thier third on housing up her on the rez..... so we take in the family.... than her pp says she has to have a place that she will be at for one full year to get out.... THIS IS GETTING NUTS. well, we pull in someone from that county that works with the tribe and he fixes it. she gets out....... gets a job.... than, their four year old runs outside.... so, they look. a cop stops them. why? cause thier ndn. than asks their names..... than 2 hours latter show up for a warrent for the husband..... than the wife pawns the computor to get him out of jail so he can babysit while she works......... and his big crime is all to do with driving without a licence...... and had a warrent to be picked up in a different county, not a look warrent..... just if your stopped, they pull you in.... so this cop went hunting..... this is just part of a true story........ the story of how, poverty, lose of culture and different belief systems collied..... and why, why, why, why, STAY ON THE REZ. ok. i had to get this out of my system........ ill now return to the otherside of me..... poso. this of course is osop. but hey a story based in fact can be good or sad, and the ones grandma told me were like that....... |
