Gifting

When my oldest boy was about 11 years old he got his own original idea for a Winter Day gift for me. (I'm not Christian and have always refused to include Christmas as a holiday but Kids don't appreciate that much so I insisted on calling IT Winter Day, anyway...). he made his gift and kept it secret while he worked on it too. Jamie loved to draw and what he made was a booklet of coupons. Each was drawn like a silly dollar bill with hearts instead of faces in the middle. Some coupons were for foot rubs, doing dishes, fixing breakfast, bringing me tea and toast in bed, back rubs, even entertaining his little brother for me when I need some quiet time, taking the dog for a walk or cleaning up the yard after him, doing some laundry all kinds of things. It's one of the best gifts anyone ever gave me and it came right from the heart. Very like the little boys gift, from the story. A big I LOVE YOU. Kids are really something. The best people, in my humble opinion.
