| Introduction to the Isle of Wight |
| Living on an Island is quite cool; it has it's good points and bad points. But what really annoys me most are the Mainlanders. They think that just because we are an island that we have severe disadvantages .... Mainlanders have said things such as: 1.) "Do we need a passport to get over there?" ERR...Hello, we are only 10 mins away from the Mainland, we are not millions of miles away on the French coastline! 2.) "Do you have electricity?" Well obviously, what do they think we do, sit under a sheet of cardboard huddling around a candle? 3.) "Do you have cars?" For god sake!!! They think we all drive tractors, well let me tell you that is certainly not the case! Generally the island's typical sterotype is that we are all country bumpkins and that there are only about 5 families on the island. Well it's totally different from the stereotype that the island has generated for itself. I'm proud that we are cut off from the mainland, at least we are separted from all the crimes (although the island has one of the worst drug problems in the whole of the uk, but hey, we cant be perfect!) | Above is our cute little Island, doesn't it look amazing?! (My art work!) It shows the main points and hang out places of different social groups on the island. The west side is mainly where all the Farmer Giles live, whilst the East side is the tourist side, and where we find the dreaded.....TOWNIES!!! Oh yes people, the townies are here infesting the island with the scum! Run! I feel deeply sorry for anyone who lives on this side of the island, their lives corrupted by the skanks of society, but we have to live with it. I am one of the unfortunate peeps who has to see them everyday, im not going to let them affect me though, I refuse to become ONE OF THEM! As you can see, the West side has the best beaches too, Compton bay is where all the "Dudes" go to surf. The other main beach is on the east side almost parallel to surfers beach. Unfortunately this beach is where all the old codgers plonk there arses for a days sunbathing, its absoultely swamped with tourists (not to mention sewage!) So its really pleasant , as you can imagine. O, I almost forgot, tart land, where all the tarts hang out (literally!). Tart land is around my school, in the Eastern side of the island. Its a horrific site, belts and belly tops galore! |
| This is whats known as a GOTH. U will find them lurking all over the island, and there seems to be a considerable amount of them in our school! I think they actually look quite stylish tho! They certainly liven the place up! A classic TART. There are many of these cheap gurls around, and they're not exactly hard to spot, they will be the ones wearing next to nothing! Peroxide hair, a belly top and a butt short skirt (belt) is the tart dress code, not forgetting knee highs, lovely eh?! Of course most girls dress like this when we are going out, but I mean tarts dress like this ALL the time, even when they are going to bed! |

| GRUNGER/SKATER: I have to live with one, as my bro is one, they are not too bad apart from they dont know what the word WASH is. They have the classic" I JUST GOT OUTTA BED" hair style, if u can call it a style. U will find grungers on their skateboards or on a surfboard. I like grungers tho, I think they look pretty darn good. O NOOOOOOOOO its a TOWNIE! These are the absoloute scum of the earth, they fester everywhere. Tracksuits and gold jewelery are favourites, they all have scabby greasy hair, so watch out! |
