Grind together: Cilantro (coriander) leaves- 1 bunch Fenugreek leaves- 2 small bunches
Cut the fish into medium sized pieces and Fry them in oil. Remove and set aside.
In the same oil fry the ginger, garlic and green chilies for a minute. Add the Fenugreek and cilantro paste and fry well until the oil separates from the mixture. Now add half cup of buttermilk, turmeric powder, coriander powder, Kashmir garam masala powder and salt. Mix well. Now add the fried fish pieces and cook for 10 minutes over low heat. Then turn the fish over and add the remaining 1/2 a cup of buttermilk and let it simmer for another five minutes. Serve hot.
