Too bad there were paths leading past that point and plenty of people (including ourselves) that went beyond that point. On Sunday we took a tour (which included all the sites listed above minus the Islands). Our tour guide was this witch. Who said stuff like “If you’re not back on time, we’re leaving you behind and it’s a 50 Euro cab ride back to Galway. Stupid her also said stuff like “The limestone rocks date back to the last ice age. About 10 thousand million years ago.” Ri-i-ight. We all got a big hoot outta that. Stupid her. I know I’m jumping all over the place, but these thoughts aren’t coming to me in any order. SO w/o further ado. Saturday night, the majority of us were a bit drunk, Jane and I came up with this wonderful game about our Canadian friend Cathy. It’s similar to the online game of “poke the bunny” where it’s a hand poking a bunny and it will eventually attack the hand if you poke it too many times. NEways. Instead of a bunny, we’d replace it w/ a Canadian (Cathy) and instead of poking her, we’d kick her aka “Kick the Canadian”. And when you kick her, she’d turn around and say “Ow, eh?” then eventually attack you with a hockey stick or a maple leaf. If I ever get the chance and the knowledge, I’ll make the game. So we got a big hoot outta that for a long time. So in any case, we beat the weather and it only started to rain after we were done with our weekend. So today, for most of the time it wasn’t rainy – which has been very rare for this entire experience.

Though in the morning, we came to the site to find our pits completely filled with rain (from last night) – quite fun…NOT O,o For the rest of the day (after bailing out my pit), I found a few pieces of redware ceramics. Huzzah! Totally made my day b/c for about a week I’ve been going w/o finding anything. So it was a moment of joy. Okay, time to hit the pubs. (or get ready for them)
Cheers mate!
