Dij's journal of Ireland

Today we dug some more. I found a few artifacts such as some pottery (Redware) and glass. All the shoveling and digging has put a great strain on my wrist, so now I'm popping alieve to alievate the pain. My face has gotten a bit sunburned (not a bad one) from yesterday, so today I went out with the intention of covering up my face. Too bad the weather was yucky when we first came out- cold and rainy with a strong wind. Over the course of the day, the weather alternated between cold/windy & rainy to cold/windy & sunny. Luckily I had a hat on so it helped a bit (from the sun). I wasn't feeling too good this morning - upset stomach. so that was pretty crappy. I still have my cold - or reminiscence of it - runny nose and small cough. Other than that, the day was swell. I'm really enjoying digging for things. It's like a treasure hunt. What I'm digging through is a layer of mud mixed with a layer of cobble stones (what the house/(floor) was made out of). So it's a bit tricky trying to remove the stones. You have to be careful not to throw out artifacts that have been settled into the mud. And also must be careful not to break the artifacts. For some strange reason, O,o I find this quite fun. Okay, wrist is really hurting, bye bye.
