Today consisted of more digging. The weather was terrific. I made sure to wear sunblock today- huzzah. I found a whole bunch of artifacts, but nothing too exciting.
About mid-day a wonderful conversation came up about LotR, seems like there are a few girls who find an interest in Merry/Pippin & Legolas. Actually, throughout the day we were conversing about LotR (but it wasn't until later that we got into the actors). Earlier we talked about hobbits in general and their pipe"weed". I think we originally got onto the topic when we were talking about the land we're excavating and how it looks like hobbiton. But back to the actors ;), there was one girl (from MD) who mentioned that her favorite hobbits were Merry and Pippin. I went off form there & mentioned my thoughts on Mr. Dominic Monaghan and meeting Billy Boyd. We chatted a bit about that. I was actually a bit surprised to see a good % of the group actively talking about LotR. It appears there are quite a few people interested in the books (and movies). Other topics of the day included Kevin SMith movies, Labryinth and the Simpsons - where we all started quoting it and talking of our favorite episodes. But enough about random babble. I'm quite exhausted after today and going out to the pubs last night (/playing darts/chatting/goofing around) really took a lot of NRG out of me. Unfortunately, I have a lecture to go to tonight @ 7pm. They guy will be talking about the different types of ceramics. I expect it to be interesting (Even though I already know a lot about ceramics), but I'm afraid I might not give my full attention. Luckily it's only suppose to be roughly 1/2 hr long. Later tonight might include going to the pubs, but I think I might want to go to bed early and get a good night's rest. Tomorrow I have internet time so I'm greatly looking forward to that & on Saturday/Sunday a bunch of us are going to Athlone & Roscommon & doing the touristy-stuff there. So it should be a busy weekend. (Random note - aerobars are absolutely delicious. Especially the mint ones. My roommates and I are munching on one presently). Alright, until next time!
Cheers!
