Dij's journal of Ireland

I’ve got 15 minutes to write before the group of us heads off to Conmacnoise (& I probably spelled that wrong too). I wish I had a good night sleep, but alas ther was a man in the next bedroom talking loudly in the wee hours of the night. Not fun. Other than that, the B&B that we’re in is quite cool. The rooms are like a maze, so man stairs! Well everyone’s getting ready to go so I’ll have to finish this later. And yes, I still have to talk about yesterday. Cheers!

Finally got back from my trip and man is it nice to be wearing some comfy shoes. I’m drinking a red bull right now to keep me from falling asleep. Today we went to Clonmacnoise, which has a ruin of an old monastery , (from the 500s). I believe it’s the oldest in Ireland. The weather was very dismal with cold rain. SO the experience wasn’t all that great. Afterwards, we went and got lunch and caught the end of the World Cup game. (I have a tendency to do that O,o). Then the 8 of us split up.
Six of us did a viking tour, which consisted of us going on a boat similar to a Viking boat and sailing up the Shannon, to the largest lake in Ireland. (which the name escapes me at the moment). It was so incredibly windy and still rainy.

But we managed to amuse ourselves by putting on some cloaks and viking hats. Our imaginations ran wild! (Well, not really) There were also some swords that we played with. Good times. Good times. Afterwards we were all icnredibly tired, so we hung out at Sean’s Bar – the oldest pub in Ireland, before heading home. Well, gotta run. Midsummer Murders is on and I think I might catch it. ;) Hah! And you thought this entry would talk about yesterday! Mwa hah!
Cheers!
