Aaron Continues Dominance, Takes Tenth All-Star Game Out of Eleven
For the tenth time in the eleven year NBA history, the Aaron Conference all-star team reigned supreme in the annual midsummer classic. Game MVP Raul Ibanez of Harlem had a two-run single in the ninth inning off West Haven closer Joe Nathan to break a 5-5 tie and give the Aaron the lead for good. After another insurance run, the Wagner got the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth, but after an Orlando Hudson single to cut the Aaron lead to 8-6, Southtown's Grant Balfour shut the door by striking out Pittsburgh pinch hitter Jhonny Peralta to end it. Jack Cust homered for the Aaron in support of the win; Mike Napoli had a homerun and Hanley Ramirez two RBI in the losing cause to the Wagner.
