This year’s tournament will be like last year’s, with the same format & five chances to win cash.

Cash Awards: Overall Winner (55%): Based on Points System. Guess who will advance in the Tournament?  If you guess correctly, your team moves on and you receive points. If your team loses, that part of the bracket is done.  Point Values are as Follows. (Note: Five of the last seven years the leader going into the Championship Monday has failed to take home the coveted prize.  The 1999 Winner was 15th & the 2000 Winner was 9th Going into the Championship Monday, but still came out as the pool winners, so anything can happen!) 1st Round: 1 pt 2nd Round: 3 pt Sweet 16: 5 pt Elite 8: 7 pt Final Four: 10 pt Championship: 20 pt NCAA Champion (15%): Pick a team to go all the way and receive a piece of the tournament pie Most Teams in Final Four (15%): Person with the most teams in Final Four will receive a piece of tournament pie Accurate Final Score (15%): Pick the Final Score of the Championship Game, Person comes closest wins piece of tournament pie …And the most Famous Award in the Tournament: THE HORSE'S ASS AWARD! This fun person who receives this finished last in Overall Score.  He/She receives ½ their money back and gets some recognition as well. (Laugh). A little history about the Horses Ass Award. Last year’s winner had 50 measly points. However, the 1998 Winner was the Horse’s Ass Award Winner in 1997. So guys & gals be careful! Anyone can sneak up and take the Overall winner’s prize.

Rules:

1. Each entry is $10 each.  All entries & money must be received by Noon Thursday March 15th, 2007. NO EXCEPTIONS!! If you wish to play more than one entry, no problem.  Just make sure you label each entry, so I can tell the difference between the two. (Ex: Joe#1, Joe#2)

Important Notice! If you find you cannot access the webpage for any reason, I need to be emailed ASAP, so that I can make arrangements to get a backup webpage up for everyone.

And again this year, we are now offering online credit card payment via PayPal.  Just go to the pool’s website & click the PayPal icon.  NOTE: Don’t forget that all entries must be in before the deadline. (SEE RULE #1) The pool will not accept or be responsible for any late or missing entries.   

3. Please make sure your entire entry is completed.  I will not be responsible for any brackets left empty. Any bracket not filled in, will be considered as a losing bracket & that part of it will be finished. (Including final score boxes!)  NOTE: The winner of the NCAA game on March 13th will be the 64th team in the pool. The game itself is not part of the pool, other than to determine the 64th team.  No points will be awarded for this game.

4. If no one picks a NCAA Champion or anyone for the Final Four, the prize will be voided, & divided among the other four main categories & not Horses Ass Award (same as last year.) Prize money will be split in each category if any ties apply.  All decisions regarding this pool are final & not subject to change.

5. Updates can be found on the pool website & this will be the only way to receive an update if you wish to receive one. All email addresses entered will automatically receive periodic email updates. Payoffs & final standings will be made on April 10th.  Please do not expect any payoffs before then.  If you can’t handle that, then please DO NOT PLAY!
