Joseph Blezek, Sr. was born in Bohemia ca. 1851.  He married Anna Chaloupka in Anamosa, Jones County, IA 31 August 1874.  Anna was born in Bohemia ca. 1853.  By 1800 the couple had moved west to Cass Township, Guthrie County, Iowa.  They lived in Guthrie County for the remainder of their years.
