| "The Lunchline" at Westfield Mall Community in the Schools display. Students researched the history of the school lunch, including political background, nutritional standards and implimentation of the National School Lunch program. |
| 'Tacos' by Chris. Each student then selected a day at random from our school lunch menu for November, 2003. Their job was to recreate the lunch served that day. |
| 'Hot Dog' by Brandi, 'Pizza Slice' by Katie. The food was reconstructed using sculpy, styrofoam, glue and paint. The lunch trays are actual discarded trays donated by a school board member. (Thanks!) |
| Students and viewers are encouraged to think about the role food plays in their lives- how much time, energy and money they spend thinking about, consuming and controling their daily intake. This lesson raises questions about nutrition while teaching sculptural skills of carving and modeling to scale. |
